I <3 My Rainbows

This past week was tough on me... tougher on my feet. My beloved hemp Rainbow sandals bit the dust while we were camping. (Luckily, I had my Crocs in the trunk for just such emergencies as this.) This week I drove up to the San Clemente Rainbows storefront and got my replacements. It was also a perfect chance to grab lunch with my dear friend who works up near there. Dear sweet Rainbows, it was a sad week without you and here's to a long and happy life... may we travel many, many miles together.

5 Minute (Free) Craft of the Day

People have to find our apartment from the stairs without being able to see our apartment number that is hidden around a corner... Or they USED TO... that problem has been solved!

Today with the help of my paint and brushes from my college art classes and an extra bookcase shelf that we weren't using I made a sign to guide all of our guests in less than five minutes and for free!

The whole area needs a bit more help and some live plants, etc., but for now I am hopeful that (with the help of the turtles and our new sign) we will have fewer friends lost and roaming the halls.

Errands Can Be Fun...

...when you throw in a quick picnic at the park with burritos for lunch and a soda that tastes like Tootsie Rolls were melted and poured into a bottle for dessert. Happy Weekend!
